(916) 484-3501 Mr. Alliston’s practice initially focused on insurance coverage and related issues with an emphasis on commercial general liability insurance and public entity self-insured risk pooling. Mr. Alliston later expanded his practice to include estate planning, including advice regarding avoidance of estate taxes and probate costs, and preparation of wills, living trusts, and related documents. Mr. Alliston has successfully litigated numerous actions in both state and federal courts. Mr. Alliston became a partner at the Sacramento firm of Farmer, Murphy, Smith & Alliston in 1996, and joined Murphy, Campbell, Guthrie & Alliston at its formation in 2007. Mr. Alliston graduated from Oklahoma Christian College, receiving his B.A. in English summa cum laude in 1984. He moved to the Sacramento area in 1984 and obtained his J.D., with distinction, from the University of the Pacific McGeorge School of Law in 1988. Mr. Alliston is admitted to practice in the States of California and Texas, and before the U.S. Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals and the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern, Northern and Central Districts of California.
